  Understanding customer service and customer care is human relations not rocket science. 

 Already you are asking yourself what is the difference between customer service and customer care.

 Aren't they the same thing? The answer is yes and no..

 Let me clarify.

 Step #1 of customer service is introduce yourself. My name is Rose and I have been in customer service and customer care for 38 years. I am here to teach the highlights of years of customer service and customer care learning.

(If you are doing the math that puts me somewhere between exprienced and aging gracefully.)

  Those years have taken me through the call center industry, retail, online sales 

   and self-employment.

Each of those areas have some of the same customer care issues yet different. In every industry customer service has the power to create or destroy your dreams.

   You are asking yourself, My dreams? But I work for a corporation, it's their dreams, I'm just doing my job. That may be true, but you have dreams. Even if you win the lottery and never have to work another day in your life. You still need customer service skills.

Through out this website we will explain all this and more.

         Now, back to the difference between customer service and customer care.

   This would be my opinion after years of observation, I'm sure someone will disagree.

• Customer Service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase.

•  Customer Care is meeting
  the expectations of the customers and giving them more than what they expected. 
         
  

A customer care example is this website.  I will be providing useful information that you can refer back to, at the same time letting you know about other resources that may assist you along the way.
